In-Process Inspector
SUMMARY
Inspects powdered metal parts for dimensional accuracy and surface defects by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- In-process inspections.
- Lot inspection as needed.
- 1st article inspection as required by customer and/or internal requirements.
- Measures dimensions as part.
- Examines part for defects such as cracks, chip out and other visual defects.
- Separates and marks defective part according to rework operation required.
- Capability studies as needed.
- Gauge calibration as needed.
- Blueprint interpretation and consultation with personnel to assure quality of part.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an in-process inspector required.
- Must be able to accurately measure parts, read and understand blueprints, use various inspection equipment and instruments and operate a micrometer. Must be extremely precise with measurements up to four (4) decimal points.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
