FMS Corporation awarded grand prize in 2012 Powder Metallurgy Design Excellence Awards Competition

FMS Corporation received the grand prize in the lawn and garden/off-highway category presented at PowderMet2012, the International Conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials. It was awarded for a powder metallurgy (PM) steel gear race used in the OnTrac2 GPS-assisted steering system made for Novariant Corporation, Fremont, Calif. The system positions agricultural planting and harvesting equipment to more accurately perform tillage, spraying and spreading, reducing skips and overlaps as well as fuel consumption.

FMS Corporation adds state-of-the-art quality inspection equipment

The Resonant Acoustic Method NDT system (RAM NDT™) delivers fully inspected parts to ensure that every part from FMS Corporation is objectively tested. A high-throughput system, RAM NDT can inspect components as fast as one part per second. Each component has a resonant signature or pattern that reflects its structural integrity. This signature is used to detect frequency shifts, which can be caused by imperfections such as cracks, porosity and voids, as well as variances in nodularity, dimension, geometry, weight and density.

FMS Corporation awarded grand prize in Powder Metallurgy Design Excellence Awards Competition

FMS Corporation received a Grand Prize in the Powder Metallurgy Design Excellence Awards Competition from the Metal Powder Industries Federation. The award was for an assembly of five complex powder metal steel parts for an all-terrain vehicle transmission in the lawn and garden/off-highway category for FMS customer Team Industries. The award was presented at PowderMet 2009, the International Conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials, in Las Vegas. Read more >>>

 

FMS Corporation awarded 2008 PMPA Safety Award

FMS Corporation was awarded the 2008 PMPA Safety Award from the Powder Metallurgy Parts Association. The award recognizes FMS Corporation as a small company winner in the 2008 safety awards program.
